My fiancé is from the state of Michoacán in Mexico and grew up there with homemade salsa macha. This salsa macha de chile morita (and the salsa estilo diablo) from Salsa de Yola is a very authentic salsa macha, which reminds my fiancé of his family's recipe - we haven't had another commercial salsa macha that has tasted more like a homemade salsa macha than this brand! The chile morita adds a great smoky spicy flavor to this version.
